Mount Pleasant Library will use grant for renovations.

The State Education Department awarded $14 million in grants to 173 public libraries statewide for construction projects.

The Mount Pleasant Public Library received a grant of $32,500. It will use the funds to renovate the restrooms for greater accessibiity.

“Many public libraries statewide lack updated technology or facilities to fully serve children, parents and other community members," said Board of Regents Chancellor Betty A. Rosa.
