
Andrée Lalak of Briarcliff Manor, New York passed away peacefully on July 5, 2018. She was 86.
Andrée was born in Brussels, Belgium on November 7, 1931 to Paul and Emma Boesmans Boons. She immigrated to the United States with her family in 1949 at the age of 17.
On September 8, 1962 she married Joseph Lalak in Newark, New Jersey. Mrs. Lalak lived in Briarcliff Manor since 1963.

Locally she was a member of St. Theresa Church, Ladies Auxiliary of the Briarcliff Manor Fire Dept. and volunteered with the Briarcliff Scouts when her children were young. She will be remembered for her two week 500 mile bicycle trips, Square, Folk and Ball Room Dancing.
She is survived by her husband Joseph, children Theresa Lalak Ventura, Elaine Pontonio, Christopher Lalak and Melissa Neurauter; eight grandchildren, nieces and nephews; lifelong friend and cousin Monique Mentens, and other friends and relatives in Belgium.

Calling hours at the Hawthorne Funeral Home, 21 W. Stevens Avenue on Wednesday, July 11th from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Mass St. Theresa Church, Briarcliff Manor on Thursday, July 12th at 10am. Interment following at Mount Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers friends may send donations to the charities St. Labre Indian School, Veterans of Foreign Wars or Briarcliff Manor Fire Department.
