PLEASANTVILLE, NY — A protest against anti-Asian hate crimes will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday in downtown Pleasantville.

The event, with guest speakers such as congressional Reps. Mondaire Jones and Sean Patrick Maloney plus Westchester County Executive George Latimer, is the brainchild of 16-year-old Raghav Joshi, The Examiner News reported.

The student activist told reporter Martin Wilbur that while he has experienced bias, he has also learned that the USA is one of the few countries where an immigrant can speak out and can make a difference.
