Car Fire Snarls Traffic On I-287 Friday
The state DOT does not yet say when traffic might start flowing slowly again.
PORT CHESTER, NY — If you are going east on I-287, you are likely to experience delays Friday. The state Department of Transportation said there is slow traffic and stop and go traffic on I-287 - Cross Westchester Expressway, eastbound, from after Exit 9 (I-287) - Hutchinson River Parkway to before Exit 11 (I-287) - Port Chester-Rye (US 1).
The Journal News is reporting the cause as a car fire.
The incident occurred at 11:30 a.m., according to 511ny.org.
