Coastal Areas in Port Chester Could See Some Flooding

The weather service has issued a coastal flood advisory.

A coastal flood advisory is in effect for southern Westchester County for Tuesday.

The National Weather Service said the advisory is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday and 10 p.m. Tuesday to 1 a.m. Wednesday.

The affected locations are along Long Island Sound.

Tidal departures of 2 to 2-1/2 feet above astronomical tides can be expected, so minor flooding of vulnerable shore roads and properties is possible due to the height of the storm tide or wave splash over.
