'Grow Your Business' Event At Port Chester Post Office

Postal officials will be on hand to provide business owners and entrepreneurs with information and advice.

PORT CHESTER, NY — Since 1963, one week each year is designated as National Small Business Week in the United States. In support of this year’s National Small Business Week, May 5 – 11, two Westchester County Post Offices will host “Grow Your Business” events, with one being in Port Chester. Postal officials will be on hand to provide business owners and entrepreneurs with valuable information and advice about easy-to-use and affordable offerings that help small businesses grow and innovate.

The locations, dates and time for the two Westchester County participating Post Offices are:

  • Port Chester, 245 Westchester Avenue, Tuesday, May 7, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.,
  • Hartsdale, 441 Central Park Avenue, Thursday, May 9, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

According to the Small Business Administration, more than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year. The Postal Service recognizes the importance of supporting small businesses, the jobs they help create, and the quality of life that they provide in every ZIP Code across the nation. In addition to services like Priority Mail that help small business ship economically, the Postal Service offers numerous solutions to assist businesses with their marketing efforts such as Every Door Direct Mail.

Small business owners unable to attend one of the “Grow Your Business” events can learn more about how the USPS can help to grow their business at www.usps.com/smallbusiness. While visiting the website entrepreneurs are encouraged to check out all the tools and applications offered specifically with small businesses in mind.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
