On Friday, January 24, 2014, Port Chester police arrived at 203 William Street at 1:03 am and observed a house fire with flames coming from the basement on the right hand side of the house with heavy smoke, said Lt. James Ladeairous of the Port Chester Police Department.

Thirteen people were evacuated out of the multifamily house dwelling. All of the people were displaced and went to stay with their family and friends, said Lt. James Ladeairous of the Port Chester Police Department.

The Port Chester Fire Department put out the fire and it has been deemed as an electrical fire, according to Lt. James Ladeairous of the Port Chester Police Department.
