Port Chester Passes 2019-20 Budget

PORT CHESTER, NY — Voters in the Port Chester-Rye school district approved the $103.7 million budget for the 2019-20 school year. According to unofficial results, the budget was approved 1,062 to 729.

The budget was 6.71 percent more than the current spending plan and the tax levy increase was 5.44 percent.

Two candidates were vying for one seat on the board of education. The winners was Chrissie Onofrio. Also on the ballot was Carolee Brakewood.
