Port Chester PD Hosts "National Night Out" August 6 from 6-9pm

Join Port Chester's finest for a night of free food and fun!

Chief Richard Conway and the Port Chester Police Department will participate in "National Night Out" on Tuesdsay, August 6 from 6pm-9pm.

From the organization's website, the "National Night Out" is an annual community building campaign that promotes strong police community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhood safer more caring places to live and work. National night out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. Neighborhoods across the nation host block parties, festivals parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth activities, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much much more. National night out is celebrated by over 30 million neighbors across 16,000 communities from all 50 states"

PCPD's planned National Night Out will consist of an open house of police headquarters, along with a block party to be held in the rear of police headquarters and on Rollhaus Pl, which will be blocked off for festivities. Included activities will be food and beverages, consisting of a barbecue, children's activities to consist of a jumping castle, and safety seminars carried out by Police and EMS personnel. The event is free and open to all.
