PORT CHESTER, NY — The first day of school in Port Chester is September 5 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Port Chester School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 11/6: No School (Superintendent Conference Day)
• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/14: Noon Dismissal (Elementary Only)
• 11/21: Early Dismissal
• 11/22 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/21: Early Dismissal
• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/18 - 2/22: No School (Winter Recess)

March

• 3/13: Noon Dismissal/Parent Teacher Conferences (Elementary Only)
• 3/19: No School (Superintendent Conference Day)
