Prosecutors said the restaurant owner shot and killed the husband of a former employee.
PORT CHESTER, NY — A southern Westchester man will be spending time in prison for fatally shooting someone outside his restaurant. Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark said Monday that Kenton Connerly, 52, of Port Chester, was sentenced to 20 years in prison and five years' post-release supervision.
Connerly was found guilty by a jury Dec. 13 of first-degree manslaughter and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
"The defendant, a restaurant owner, shot his former employee's husband when they went to pick up her paycheck," Clark said. "The defendant took a life because of a disagreement over money. He will now spend many years in prison for his actions."
