PORT CHESTER, NY — A Port Chester man who pleaded guilty to raping a teenager will be going to prison. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino Jr. said Antonio Olivarez, 41, of Port Chester, was sentenced Tuesday to 13 years in state prison.

Olivarez had pleaded guilty in May to first-degree rape, a felony, for forcibly raping a 15-year-old.

In addition to prison time, he will serve 20 years post-release supervision and will register as a sex offender.

The child disclosed the rape in school the next day and was taken to the Westchester County Medical Center.

After DNA testing revealed the presence of Olivarez's semen on the victim's pillowcase and blanket, he was sought by Port Chester police but evaded capture.

In July 2018, U.S. Marshals, with the help of the Port Chester police, located Olivarez in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He was hiding in a closet and resisted arrest.

Olivarez refused to waive extradition back to Westchester County.

The case was indicted before a county grand jury in August and a governor's warrant was obtained to extradite him back to New York.

He was arraigned on the indictment in October, and in May, hearings before trial were set to begin, but Olivarez entered a guilty plea to first-degree rape.
