Shoulder Closure Set For Part Of Hutchinson Parkway

Crews will be performing maintenance activities, weather permitting.

RYE BROOK, NY — Motorists should be aware that work is scheduled for part of the Hutchinson River Parkway that will necessitate a shoulder closure. The state Department of Transportation said the shoulder is expected to be closed on the southbound Hutchinson River Parkway between Exit 30 (King Street) and Exit 29 (North Ridge Street) between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12 through Friday, Aug. 16.

Crews will be performing maintenance activities, weather permitting.

Delays should be anticipated and motorists should plan accordingly.

The DOT said that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone, and convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual's drivers license.
