Visitation Announced for Westchester Woman Who Died After Being Caught in Rip Current

She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony Friday.

Port Chester, NY — Visiting hours for Port Chester woman who drowned after being caught in a rip current off a New Jersey beach have been announced.

Kristi Pisano, 24, will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Ferncliff Friday.

Friends may pay their respects at Coxe and Graziano Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday.

The funeral home is located at 134 Hamilton Ave. in Greenwich, CT.

Pisano and her boyfriend were in New Jersey for a wedding Saturday and decided to go for a swim on an unguarded beach in Long Beach Township.

After a wave knocked them over, they were pulled out into the rip current.

Pisano’s boyfriend managed to get her back to shore, where CPR was attempted. She was taken to a hospital but died Sunday.

According to the obituary posted on Coxe and Graziano Funeral Home’s website, Pisano worked as a medical assistant and had recently graduated Sanford-Brown.

She is survived by her father, mother and her stepfather, as well as her grandparents and sisters.
