We Could See Records Broken in Port Chester: Work Week Weather

Here's what the lower Hudson Valley can expect this week.

PORT CHESTER, NY - It looks like it might be time to put the snowblower away until next year and put the shovels back in that obscure section of the garage or basement until next winter.

It seems spring has sprung early! This week is going to be warm, with highs in the 50s on Monday and then temps climbing from there — even coming near 70 in spots.

We're talking 15-30 degrees above average, meteorologists say.

"We haven’t had a winter… so why not step on the gas and head full speed into spring?" says Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. "By mid week, we could be breaking records."

It's still not time to plant, however. Looking ahead, temperatures could drop back to normal around March 19. But for how long?
