Again in 2014, Noah was the most popular name for boys in the country, but there was a change at the top for girls—Emma moved up from the No. 2 spot in 2013 to claim No. 1 in 2014.In New York, parents didn't always fall in line with the nation. Noah, for instance, came in as the No. 5 most popular name in NY, and Emma was No. 3 on the girls' list.Jacob and Sophia were at the top for new New Yorkers.
