Whole Foods Community Giving Day To Benefit God’s Love We Deliver

PORT CHESTER, NY – God’s Love We Deliver announced that it will receive 5 percent of net sales from all Whole Foods Market locations in Westchester on Thursday, Jan. 10 — including Port Chester — as part of the company’s annual Community Giving Days.

For people living with severe illness in the New York City metropolitan area, God’s Love We Deliver provides nutrition therapy, and cooks and home delivers medically tailored meals. God’s Love We Deliver is a non-sectarian organization, and all of the organization’s services are provided free to clients and full of love.

The January Community Giving Day initiative will focus on nourishing those in need by supporting nonprofits that work to improve access to healthy food for all, provide healthy eating and cooking resources and education, and highlight the essential role of healthy food in the communities Whole Foods Market serves.

Recently, the state of New York asked God’s Love We Deliver to create pilot meal delivery programs in Westchester and Nassau counties. The organization has since cooked and home-delivered more than 28,000 medically tailored meals to Westchester county residents living with severe and chronic illness.

More than 490 Whole Foods Market locations will participate in the Community Giving Day by donating to organizations, projects and programs that support the mission of ensuring access to healthy food for all, according to a spokesman.
