The women were giving unlicensed massages, police say.

MIDDLE ISLAND, NY — Suffolk police on Wednesday arrested two women who are accused of giving unlicensed massages during a raid at a massage parlor in Middle Island, police said.

An investigation into a parlor at 200 Middle Country Road was performed around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday after numerous community complaints, police said. The Town of Brookhaven Investigator, Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshal and Town of Brookhaven Building Inspector joined Suffolk officers from the sixth precinct for the raid.

Longmei Zhan, 62, and Xiaoqiu Li, 39, both of Flushing, were arrested and charged with unauthorized practice of a profession — a class E felony under the New York State Education Law. The business was closed by the Brookhaven Town Building Inspector as a result of the violations, police said.
