Bicyclist Seriously Injured In Car Collision In Terryville
The bicyclist failed to yield to the driver in the Sunday crash, Suffolk police say.
TERRYVILLE, NY — A bicyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car on Sunday in Terryville, Suffolk police said.
The crash happened at 5:37 p.m., when a 73-year-old Port Jefferson Station woman was driving a 2020 Hyundai northwest on Old Town Road at the intersection of Boyle Road and a bicyclist riding northbound on Boyle Road failed to yield for the driver, who had a green light, according to police.
The bicyclist, a 24-year-old Centereach man, was brought to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The Hyundai driver was not injured, police said.
