Don't Miss: Saturday Morning Biathlon
It's still not too late to enter the annual biathlon, held by the village recreation department and Rotary Club.

It's not too late to sign up for a Saturday morning biathlon, held by the Port Jefferson VIllage rec department in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Port Jefferson.
Kicking off at 9 a.m., registration begins at 8 at East Beach, which is where the 500-yard swimming portion of the swim/run will kick off from. The course is slightly altered this year due to storm damage at West Beach, looping back around to its starting point before a 5K run through Harbor Hills.
Recreation Director Denise Boyd said typically 65-115 participants come, though for logistical purposes, a cap of about 100 people is ideal. Walk-in registration is an option for those who wake up Saturday morning and decide that's how they'd to start their day, at $25 to enter as opposed to pre-registration cost of $20.
"It's a great way to start a Saturday," Boyd said.
Age groups run the gamut from 13-15 years old, all the way up to the "super masters," over the age of 70.
