Dozens Of Vehicles Damaged In Town Of Brookhaven: Police

A BB gun was used to shoot the windows of roughly 40 vehicles and one house in a two-hour period early Saturday, police say.

TOWN OF BROOKHAVEN, NY — Roughly 40 vehicles, as well as a home, were targeted in a string of criminal mischief incidents early Saturday in Selden and Port Jefferson Station, Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct officers said.

A person or people damaged vehicle windows and one house between 1:20 a.m. and 3:20 a.m., police said. A BB gun was used to shoot the windows in most cases, police said. Surveillance video captured a red SUV police said belongs to a suspect.
