Fire Breaks Out At Mario's In East Setauket

A fire broke out at Mario's Italian Restaurant in East Setauket early Tuesday morning and spread to the cockloft, threatening the building's structure, fire officials said.

No one was injured in the blaze, which firefighters from multiple departments brought under control while battling high heat and humidity.

The Setauket, Terryville and Port Jefferson Fire Departments responded to the call.

"The fire presented many challenges, however great collaboration by multipleDepartments helped bring it under control," the Port Jefferson Fire Department said on Facebook.
