Firefighters Rescue Stranded Boat In Port Jefferson Harbor

After seeing a flare, firefighters rescued a stranded boat carrying three passengers.

Firefighters rescued three passengers from a stranded boat near Port Jefferson Harbor this weekend.

According to the Port Jefferson Fire Department, Fireboat 6 responded to a flare sighting in the harbor and found the stranded boat.

Firefighters reported the boat to the Suffolk County Police Department and Sea Tow brought it to shore.

No one was injured.
