Long Island Weather: Snow Total Estimates For Weekend Storm
The National Weather Service has released its first official snowfall total estimates for a weekend snowstorm.

Long Island is expected to see up to four inches of snow from a storm that will impact the region this weekend.
The snow should begin around 7 p.m. Saturday and it may mix with rain for a couple hours, according to the National Weather Service. By the time the snow stops falling around sunrise Sunday, Nassau County and western Suffolk County will likely have 3-4 inches on the ground. A total of 1-3 inches is expected for eastern Suffolk. There's currently about a one in 10 chance of five inches of snow accumulating.
