LI Hospitals Get Millions From State For Improvements
The grants will allow hospitals to expand their emergency rooms, add new outpatient centers and much more.

Three Long Island hospitals are receiving millions of dollars in state grants to help improve the care that patients receive.
John T. Mather Memorial Hospital, Mercy Medical Center and St. Charles Hospital were among 25 in the state selected for grants. The three hospitals are receiving a combined $17.9 million.
"While the federal administration continues its years-long campaign to curb critical healthcare protections, we are doubling down on our commitment to ensuring New Yorkers have access to the high-quality and affordable care they need," Gov. Andrew Cuomo said. "These investments will continue to build a modern, sustainable and fully integrated health care infrastructure centered on improving the well-being of all New Yorkers."
