Man Seriously Injured In Coram Scooter Crash: Police
The man hit his head after falling off the scooter, police say.
CORAM, NY — A man was seriously injured in an electric scooter crash on Sunday afternoon in Coram, Suffolk police said.
Xavier Hernandez, 51, of New York City, was riding a Zero 11X electric scooter southbound on Groton Lane when he lost control, fell off the scooter and hit his head, police said. Hernandez was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
