Motorcyclist Killed In Collision With Car In Coram
The motorcyclist, a 36-year-old man, was pronounced dead at a hospital. The crash happened early Friday, police said.
CORAM, NY — A motorcyclist was killed in a Coram crash Friday morning, Suffolk police said.
A 36-year-old man was riding a 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on Route 112 at the intersection of Glenmere Lane when a 21-year-old Coram woman driving a 2019 Hyundai Accent south collided with him at approximately 4:15 a.m., police said.
The motorcyclist, whose name is being withheld pending notification of kin, was pronounced dead at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson. The Hyundai driver was not injured, police said.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Sixth Squad 631-854-8652.
Route 112 was closed in both directions between Pine Road and Colby Drive until 8 a.m., police said.
