Seems that people can't get enough frozen yogurt these days. Swirls and Twirls–a froyo shop that features flavors in both low fat, non fat, sugar free and gluten free options (or some combination of each) according to its website–is coming to the Uncle Giuseppe's shopping center this summer.
The franchise already has nine other locations on Long Island, including Centereach, Smithtown, Patchogue and West Islip.
These froyo shops follow similar models of self-service available in competitors' locations nearby like Red Mango and Yogo Delish, both on Main Street in Port Jefferson Village.
While the village has a glut of frozen yogurt shops, Port Jefferson Station it seems, is ripe with opportunity, especially conveniently located just steps away from PJ Cinemas where one can imagine taking in a movie and some froyo on hot summer nights.
A sign on the outside of the storefront says Swirls and Twirls is expected to open Summer 2013.
