Port Jeff High Seniors Win Suffolk Zone Awards

Earl. L. Vandermeulen High School seniors Caroline Biondo and Paul Capobianco were named the 2014-2015 Suffolk Zone Award recipients at the Suffolk Zone dinner on Dec. 3.

“Caroline and Paul have proven themselves to our physical education teachers and their school community as being students with exceptional physical performances, scholastic abilities and leadership qualities,” said Debra Ferry, the director of health, physical education and athletics for the Port Jefferson School District. “Their performance and participation in physical education has earned them this well-deserved recognition.”

The award, given by the Suffolk Zone of the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, is presented to one male and one female from each Suffolk County high school.
