Port Jefferson Documentary Series Starting Monday

The Port Jefferson Documentary Series will kick off on Monday at the Long Island Museum of American Art, History and Carriages.
Monday's film, "Halston," will begin at 7 p.m. and will be followed by a talk with Frederic Tcheng, the director. The talk will be moderated by Tom Needham, host of the Sounds of Film on Stony Brook University's radio station.

Ticket holders for "Halston" will also have access to the museum's Gracefully Chic: The Fashions of Philip Haulitar Exhibition.
The documentary series, presented by the Greater Port Jefferson Arts Council, has run since 2005 and has presented "many of the most notable and acclaimed documentary films made in the United States and around the world, often fresh from award-winning appearances at leading film festivals," according to the festival's website.
