Port Jefferson Station's Po'Boy Brewery Wins 3 Best Of LI Awards

PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY — Po'Boy Brewery in Port Jefferson Station took home a trio of victories in the Bethpage Best of Long Island 2021 awards. Long Islanders voted Po'Boy as the best craft beer brewery, beer selection and bar on the island.

"We are beyond ecstatic for the win!" Wesam Hassanin, bar manager, told Patch. "Not only did our Po'folk vote Us Best Craft brewery for the 2nd year in a row, but we also got voted #1 for the Best Bar and Best Beer Selection!

"We are definitely lost for words, and Bobby [Rodriguez] and I could not be more excited! Despite the pandemic and all of the challenges that we were faced with this past year, we were still able to stand strong, continue to grow, and buy new equipment to continue to produce some delicious brews for the community! We are truly blessed!"

It marked Po'Boy's second time — and second consecutive year — of winning Long Island's best brewery. Oyster Bay Brewing Co., Blue Point Brewing Company, and the now-defunct Barrage Brewing Company are the other three historical winners in the category.

Po'Boy won the best bar award for its first time, unseating reigning three-time champion One Eye Jacks in Bethpage. Other previous winners include BrickHouse Brewery & Restaurant of Patchogue and Croxley Ales.

For best beer selection, Po'Boy toppled defending winner Great South Bay Brewery. 2021 marked the second year of the category.

Po'Boy Brewery serves a variety of craft beers including ales, pilsners, India pale ales and stouts, as well as ciders. Drinks come in pints, 32-ounce or 64-ounce growler fills, 16-ounce cans, and four-packs of cans. The brewery is at 200 Wilson St. Unit E3, Port Jefferson Station.
