PORT JEFFERSON, NY — Port Jefferson student-athletes showcased what it meant to be a Royal despite the coronavirus-shortened winter season, according to the school district.

Students received plaques for their achievements and continued efforts in working together towards a common goal: sportsmanship. This took the place of the winter season's annual recognition events.

"We are so proud of our student-athletes, our coaches and the support of our school community and families in helping to make a successful and memorable season for our Royals," Director of Health, Physical Education, Athletics and Nursing Adam Sherrard said via news release.
