Long Island Weather: Rising Temperatures, Thunderstorm Risk On Multiple Days This Week

Look, it's Monday morning. You are running out the door and wishing there were more days in the weekend, so let's cut to the chase: temperatures on Long Island will be near normal Monday and Tuesday before they climb to the upper-80s Wednesday-Friday. There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, but things could very well end up staying dry all week.

Tuesday Night- A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. South wind 3 to 6 mph.

Wednesday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 88.

Wednesday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 73.

Thursday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 89.

Thursday Night- A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73.

Friday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 87.

Friday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 70.
