In my opinion the Port Jefferson Village Parking committee, has not advertised bi-monthly meetings since July , nor have minutes been available to the taxpayers in the ordinary places they have been available in the past. Is this a ploy to cover up the fact the committee and administration has eluded the taxpayers of information regarding the $525,000 2016 Bond for a parking lot at 3o3 Barnum Avenue which the Village taxpayers are responsible for for 10 years? The lot has been divided to allow the owners of the Shipyard Apartments to provide a dog walking area for their residents thus giving up taxpayer land. The Committee and administration have not explained the issues mentioned above to the taxpayers, as there is no advertised information or meeting minutes that one can find. The Parking Committee is managed by a "paid "Village employee and thus should be accountable to inform the taxpayers thru the "Roberts Rules" procedures on a complete and timely basis. Do the taxpayers need outside intervention by the State to inform the taxpayers of extremely large expenditures being done without explanations of same and utilizing them for other projects than stated in the Bond.
