Woman Killed In Port Jefferson Station Crash: SCPD
She was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, police say.
PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY — A Mount Sinai woman was killed in a car crash in Port Jefferson Station early Tuesday. The Suffolk County Police Department is investigating.
Kaitlyn Schaal, 19, was driving a 2001 Jeep Cherokee southbound on Old Town Road when the car crossed the northbound lane and hit a tree on the east side of the road at Greenhaven Drive at 6:03 a.m., police said.
Schaal was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The Jeep was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
