During mile-long race, Burke competed against the top 15 milers in the country at the Armory’s New Balance Track and Field Center, located in Manhattan. He finished the race in 4 minutes, 11.25 seconds, just ahead of Greenwich’s Jeremy Spiezio and Northport’s Mike Brannigan.
This is not the first time that Burke, who has been running since the fifth-grade, has come out on top. He recently won the 1,000-meter race at the Malloy Stanner Games, where he broke a Long Island record. He also holds several championship titles and has not lost a race this season.
