3. Let the adults have a little fun and check out a kid-friendly vineyard!

So many vineyards welcome kids and even leashed dogs! While parents drink and enjoy the vineyard, children can play in the fields and sometimes picnic, if allowed by the vineyard. Martha's Vineyard in Riverhead, Osprey's Dominion in Cutchogue and Pindar Vineyards in Peconic are a few of our favorite kid-friendly vineyards!

4. Enjoy the fall foliage and go for a hike or walk at your local park!

Get a breath of fresh air and go for a walk or hike! This activity can be fun for the entire family, while getting some exercise! Two of our favorite parks are Avalon Park and Preserve in Stony Brook and Caleb Smith State Park

5. Take the older ones to a haunted house or the little ones to Safe Halloween!

Halloween is a pivotal part of fall so there's nothing better than doing something spooky! Haunted houses may be scary for smaller kids but Safe Halloween is a perfect place for them to trick-or-treat while still feeling like they're a part of the fun!
