Wahlburgers is Opening on Long Island (For Real This Time)

The casual burger chain is now hiring for its first Long Island restaurant.

Wahlburgers is coming to Long Island, for real this time. Last year, Wahlburgers announced that it planned to open six restaurants on Long Island. The first one was expected to be in Farmingdale, but that deal fell through, so the casual burger chain set its sights on the former location of Road Trip American Ale House located at 4837 Nesconset Highway in Port Jefferson Station.

Wahlburgers is now hiring for its Port Jefferson Station restaurant, although no opening date has been announced.

Wahlburgers is also the name of a reality television series on the A&E network that started airing in January 2014, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the restaurant and the interactions between the Wahlberg family. The chain opened in 2011 in the Boston area, which is where the family is from.
