The Port Jefferson Village parking committee is considering utlizing barges for additional parking in the Harbor, they are also looking into multi level auto machinery parking in the GAP lot. When is enough enough? Its obvious to me the Village has gone down to a new low with the apartments, turning Caroline Ave parkland into a parking lot, accepting money instead of property for parking for business owners, taking out a $525,000. Bond for a house, demolition and clearing at 303 Barnum Ave, then folding the bond into a new $4,500,000 Bond and not following thru with the 303 Barnum Ave lot. The payoff of Bonds the Mayor and Trustees have taken out will now dovetail with the increase in school and Village taxes related to the LIPA fiasco and put much more of a burden on the taxpayers for years to come with a glidepath that is going to put some out of their homes and business.
