PORT JEFFERSON, NY — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

She runs a soup kitchen out of our church
Reason for recognition:
She has worked feeding the homeless and less fortunate all through the pandemic, even giving out masks to those who don't have one and clothing. While most people were isolating in their homes, she still was on the front lines of helping.
One thing to know:
She's tenacious in making sure no one goes hungry!
