11 Students Recognized for Completing Peer Mediation Training

The students received official citations of merit from Councilman Peter Zuckerman.

Eleven Roslyn students who participated in a 16-hour peer mediation training at the Concerned Citizens for Roslyn Youth were honored on Aug. 8 by Councilman Peter Zuckerman, who presented official citations of merit to each of the successful program graduates.

Through the program, the students learned communication and problem solving skills and techniques that will help them resolve disputes without resorting to violence or other types of unpleasant confrontation.

Citations were presented to students Adia Jennings, Shaman James, Joshua Aikens, Mahongany Parrott, Thomas Davis, Antoinette Lewis, Taleah Welch, Terrance Pierce, Omar Burns, Naomi R. Sibajene and Kaendre Augustine.
