13 Port Washington Students Honored For Art, 1 Gets A Scholarship
The students were chosen for the 2021 Art Supervisors Association All-County Art Exhibit, while one has received an all-county scholarship.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Thirteen student artists have been chosen to represent the Port Washington Union Free School in the 2021 Art Supervisors Association All-County Art Exhibit, and a high school senior has been tapped as an all-county scholarship recipient, school district officials said.
The students featured in the virtual exhibit include Jacklyn Shaub, Jake Gendron, Danielle Scalise, Brianna Lewis, Jacob Brodsky, Lindsey Estrada Medina, Joelle Bedard, Mabel Eynon, Amanda Strobel, Samwell Nachimson, Angelina Livigni, Lily Labella and Sarah Prohens, according to a news release.
Schreiber senior Strobel also received “a special recognition” as the district’s ASA All-County scholarship recipient this year, according to school district officials.

The Art Supervisors Association, which is a nonprofit education advocacy group in the visual arts, “actively promotes quality art instruction at all educational levels and provides a forum for ideas relating to art and art education,” school district officials said.
