2 Ex-Port Washington Lacrosse Standouts Named To Team USA
Both are also alumni of the Port Washington Youth Activities organization.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Two former Port Washington high-schoolers have been named to Team USA's spring lacrosse roster and will represent their country at the 2020 Spring Premiere.
The Port Washington Youth Activities organization on Monday congratulated John Crawley and Jake Froccaro for being named to the national team.
John Danowski will coach 37 of the nation’s top men's lacrosse players, Team USA announced last week. The senior team will play two games at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio the weekend of Jan. 4. The under 19 team will also participate.

Under Danowski, the Americans won last year's World Lacrosse Men's World Championship in Israel and is building the squad for a 2022 world championship. The Spring Premiere roster includes gold medalist players from the 2018 team, as well as experienced national team veterans and first-timers.
Crawley, a Port Washington native who is a professional midfielder for the Atlas Lacrosse Club, is among 10 players who has never played for Team USA in competition. He played at Johns Hopkins University and is also an assistant Coach at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.

Froccaro, a Sands Point native who attended Villanova University in Pennsylvania, was a Team USA Training Team Member in 2017 and currently plays professionally as a midfielder for the Chaos Lacrosse Club.
Both attended Paul D. Schreiber High School.
The U.S. men’s senior team will play Japan on Jan. 4 at 3:30 p.m. and then play a Blue-White intra-squad game Jan. 5 at 10:30 a.m.
