5-Mile Run To Benefit Port Washington Charities

The Greenport Harbor Brewing Company is brewing up a special batch of free beer for the runners after the race.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Runners are encouraged to sign up for the Port Washington Winter Run, a five-mile loop starting and ending in North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington.

Proceeds benefit the Community Chest of Port Washington, a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization whose mission is to give grants to charities that serve Port Washington residents and to provide below-cost rent to charities, helping them fulfill their missions.

The race is open to runners 13 and older with five-mile times of 75 minutes or less.
