Abracadabra, Manorhaven has Magic!
Port Washington Elementary Students Host SO Fun City for Virtual Edutainment Magic Show

PORT WASHINGTON, NEW YORK (APRIL 2021)—Abracadabra! Port Washington students at Manorhaven Elementary School have become socializing magicians. Courtesy of the Manorhaven Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), Ms. Drucker’s, Mr. King’s and Ms. Perez’s fifth grade classes virtually hosted SO Magic, an inclusive social learning program of SO Fun City that incorporates magic, play, and games to develop social skills and friendships.
Manorhaven’s students opened up their Chromebooks and took out their magic kit, generously prepared by Manorhaven PTA. Following along with SO Fun City’s magicians, Sarah and Josh, the fifth graders learned mind-blowing tricks such as how to multiply a cotton ball in a cup and the illusion of producing a coin from a playing card. Throughout the process, students also learned how facial expressions of surprise and disbelief can influence your audience’s reaction.
