Firefighters Rescue Dog Stuck In Mud In Manorhaven

Firefighters crawled through the mud to rescue the dog on Monday afternoon.

First responders helped rescue a dog that was stuck in the mud in Manorhaven on Monday afternoon, fire officials say.

The Port Washington Fire Department assisted Nassau Police with rescuing the dog that was stuck in low tide in the bay of Manorhaven at 1:50 p.m.

Firefighters donned in exposure suits crawled through the mud and were able to free the stuck dog.

The pup, once freed, was happily reunited with its owner, officials said.
