John S. Caramanica, of Port Washington, Dies
The great-grandfather of eight and retired Grumman employee worked on the first lunar module to land on the moon.

Caramanica, John S. of Port Washington,NY on December 12, 2014 in his 92nd year.
Beloved husband of the late Catherine T. Caramanica. Devoted father of John P. Caramanica(Karen), Mary Mongelli (Paul), Patrick Caramanica(Rosemary) and the late Louann Veccia(Richard) and Marylou Caramanica. Cherished grandfather of James, Christine, Beth, Aimee, Michael, Jamie, Alex ,Alyssa and 8 great grandchildren. Retired Grumman Aerospace employee who was instrumental in manufacturing the first lunar module to land on the moon.

In repose at the Fairchild Funeral Chapel,1570 Northern Blvd., Manhasset , Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Funeral Mass Thursday, 9:30am, St Peter of Alcantara Church, Port Washington.
