Community Art Project at Landmark on Main

Free event Sat August 15th - 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Landmark on Main 232 Main Street Port Washington NY 11050

Art holds the promise of advancing reflection and healing, initiating public dialogue, and moving activism forward. It can bring people from disparate environments and points of view together, spark discussion, and advance change. It can also provide a meaningful experience of expression for youth and adults.

Join Landmark on Main Street and Expressive Elocution in the creation of a public art piece that elevates our community's message of support for the Black Lives Matter movement and responds to the national conversationabout systemic racism in our institutions.

The project seeks Port Washington residents of all ages to create a large scale display that reflects participants' artistic talents, voice and reflections as they (and we all) navigate this singular moment. The intent is to make a collective artistic statement by and for the community.

The event is free. Please click the ticketing link on the Landmark on Main Website to reserve a time slot so that we can ensure social distancing. Masks required.
