Law & Order: Organized Crime To Shoot In Port Washington
The spin-off, which will star Christopher Meloni, has plans to shoot at Louie's on Thursday and the crew will set up a base camp nearby.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Law & Order: Organized Crime plans to shoot scenes for its second episode at Louie’s Grill and Liquors Thursday, the show’s location assistant Kay Carambia said.
The spin-off is the latest edition to NBC’s Law & Order franchise and follows the character of Detective Elliot Stabler — a role reprised by actor Christopher Meloni — as he returns to the New York Police Department to battle organized crime, according to a letter mailed to residents and business owners.
Meloni previously appeared on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” for 12 seasons between 1999 and 2011, Deadline reported. The series, which is set to debut April 1 in a two-hour cross-over event with SVU , will reunite Meloni’s character with that of Captain Olivia Benson, who is played by Marisa Hargitay, according to a recent report.

Film was expected to take place between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. weather permitting, Carambia stated in an email to Patch.
Filming will be inside the restaurant, but the crew plans to use the parking lot at the Town of North Hempstead’s dock as its base camp, according to Carambia. Show producers obtained the required permits and plan to have an officer on duty at all times during filming, she said.

Television producers from Universal Television, LLC and Wolf Films reached out to the community ahead of schedule to alert them to the production, which they estimated to have a minimal impact on the neighborhood, Carambia said. They estimated that the community might see more vehicle activity around Main Street, she said.
