Long Island Expressway Crash Cleared
Traffic cameras showed firefighters at the scene. The scene has been cleared.

SEARINGTOWN, NY — A crash on the westbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway forced multiple lanes to close Friday afternoon, according to the state Department of Transportation. The wreck happened around 1:45 p.m. Friday near Searingtown, between Exit 36 for Searingtown Road and Exit 34 for New Hyde Park Road.
Two left and center lanes were closed briefly but reopened by 3:15 p.m.
